Brand story
Ink-first studio for generative tooling
Synap Nodehub began as a Minato reading room where three reliability engineers pasted evaluation cards on parchment sheets because projectors felt too glossy for the failures they needed to discuss. The room stayed dark; the work stayed specific. When generative assistants arrived, we kept the ritual and swapped the subject matter.
Principles
- Traceable joy: if a demo delights but cannot be audited, it does not ship to cohort exercises.
- Bilingual honesty: JP and EN materials carry the same warnings, not translated euphemisms.
- Ledger Fridays: documentation is a first-class deliverable, not a postscript to flashy notebooks.
- Refusal is data: queues celebrate declined tasks with reasons legal teams can search.
Milestones
- 2019 — First closed evaluation card workshop with two Tokyo banks under NDA; no public website yet.
- 2022 — Remote-first pods added after Osaka satellite requests; hybrid timers become standard.
- 2025 — Advisory residency formalized with witness-ready risk registers for regulated launches.
